Tanjuriel Elite Stars Model Academy
Every child can be taught to shine.
TESMA is a private school on Rayfield–Old Airport Road, opposite MOPOL 8 Command, Jos. Crèche, day care, kindergarten, and primary Grades 1 to 5 share one academy — classwork, music, creative arts, and character in the same school day.
Classes
From the earliest years through Grade 5.
This is the programme the academy announced when it opened: crèche, day care, Kindergarten 1 and 2, Grades 1 to 5, plus music and creative arts. Admissions confirms the age band, and which classes are taking pupils this term.
-
Crèche
A supervised start for the youngest children, inside the academy rather than apart from it.
-
Day care
Care through the school day for families who need it, held to the same standard as the rest of TESMA.
-
Kindergarten 1 and 2
Early classrooms for language, number, and play, and for the habits primary school depends on: listening, taking a turn, and trying again.
-
Grades 1 to 5
Primary teaching from the first grade through Grade 5. Children are expected to work, and they are expected to be known by name.
- Grade 1
- Grade 2
- Grade 3
- Grade 4
- Grade 5
-
Music and creative arts
Skills development beside the academic day — part of how pupils grow, not a club that only a few children ever see.
Purpose
Built so a child is not left behind.
The academy belongs to Tanjuriel El-Buba Cooperation. It is led by Proprietor and Executive Director Mrs Nissi Xavier. It opened in Jos in September 2022 so children from different kinds of homes could have the same chance at a serious education.
-
Academic work
A full school day and teaching that moves a child ready into the next class.
-
Character
Spiritual discipline and conduct, so ability is not separated from how a child treats other people.
-
Creative skill
Music and creative arts from the early years, taught as skill and not as decoration.
This vision is to give this generation access to the best of education in terms of spiritual discipline, academic and career development, and enable them attain their full potentials in life.
Scholarships
The same classrooms, more than one kind of family.
TESMA was opened so children from low-income homes and children from better-off homes could be taught together. Scholarship programmes were part of that promise from the first day.

Before you visit.
Which classes can I apply for?

How do scholarships work?
The board committed, at inauguration, to scholarship programmes for low-income families, and said 30 percent of pupils would be supported. Ask admissions what is available now and which papers a family should bring.
What time is the school day?
